Got lots done today, I’m happy about that. I’m back on track with studioing. Tomorrow I have a couple appointments, and then making another website for another friend. I can’t wait til I have enough sites done so I can actually work on my web portfolio. I doubt it will catch much attention haha, I just like stringing together things I’ve done as a collective.

I made a black on black cherry blossom brocade corset today. I’m in love! I have to make one for myself. It would make a fantastic corset to wear for my events. People are always asking if I made what I wore. It’s always a no hehe.

I’m not going to do anymore photoshoots for a while. i gotta focus on my product. It’s now down to business guyzzz.

I voted today. It was my first time. I plan to do it every election now :)

I’m pretty much in love with it. I might change the background so it’s not so darn bright, but it’s okay for now. I’m getting faster and better at coding each website I do. I’m happy about that. This website is COMPLETELY xhtml transitional, which is awesome. Sometimes I get the occasional unvalid code that I can’t get away from. But non here! wooo.

I’m working on websites for my lovely friend Candice, who is the makeup artist and photographer for some of my stuff. I’m almost done her makeup artist website, you can preview it here. Just a few things I have to change and add in her gallery. It’s nice and simple. It took me one night to do it. After that one is done I’m going to work on her photography website, which I will attempt a very different layout type I haven’t done before.

November will mark 12 months being at my studio. I can’t wait for the next 12 months. I’m going to start it by finishing up my studio like how I first intended it to look like haha. I’ll add in a few more things from ikea ;b and move in an old couch from my home. Maybe a small microwave so I don’t spend so much money on food. I’m going to move around everything too, make it more.. fung shui ? ehehe.

Man it’s been a week since I blogged. I will try to be more consistant.

what a lazy weekend haha. After my bday I just wanna sleeeeep. It was nice. Not as many people went as I thought which was sad but good at the same time. All my super loyal friends went ;b. and a few unexpected people showed up too which was great. It’s the first time my cousins came out as well, very sweet. Especially my fave cousin Thomas. He just moved back into Edmonton after years living in Vancouver so it’s a treat for him to come.

I got so many sweet pressies this year, I didn’t expect that at all haha!

Now I gotta figure out my next weeks plan *____* lots of things to do..

The cupcakes turned out okay. I’ve made better ones before though =( oh wells hehe.

So I really hate how online communities have kinda killed real-life friendships. Turned them into one sentence indirect nothings. I miss the old times. I’m at fault for this too. A goal of mine is to stop making plans through the internet and just call people up. Try to see people just randomly. I really miss being in school and seeing the same school friends everyday. It’s been two years since I had anything like that. And my two best friends ever moved away. I’m such a loner these days hehe.

I made another website layout last night, can’t believe I did it so quickly. It’s another fanlisting site. I like doing these, it really give me practice. I’m trying to make all my fl sites completely different from each other so I’ll be skilled at making various sites for friends and clients. I don’t think I showed off my first fl hehe. dp. I did the striped sunburst completely myself! I’m so proud haha. I’m trying to learn more photoshop imaging techniques. Here is my newer fl that I haven’t completely finished: mm. The content I just pasted from my deathproof one so disregard that. I have to fix it up then open it. I’m pretty proud of these sites cause they are both xhtml and css validated hahaha. I’m trying my best to keep all my sites validated. errors suck !

I have like 5 more fanlistings to make hahaha. They happened to all be approved on the same day after I was waiting for like 3 weeks for the approval. sigh.

I’m nervous as heck for my birthday. It’s so dumb. I have no idea how many people are going to my place for food. Last year people just kept coming and coming. I was running around like mad. I’ll lock myself in my room if things get too intense ahaha. Naw I’ll be fine I think. Most of the people going I know very well and know how off I get sometimes hehe. I made a dress for myself, but I don’t think I’ll even wear it. It’s so wierd and much too short. I at least need some nice boots to go with it but all of mine are wrecked, which reminded me that I need to get them fixed or get new ones by winter. booo!

Man time goes quick. Bday party tomorrow. Today I have to make cupcakes, make a dress for myself, and tidy the house. My room is a disaster haha. I’m super excited about the cupcakes. i’m going to make them so pretty. and put green and pink icing on them mmm. I’m scared of puking my brains out when we go drinking ;_;

So the week has started, I’ll be sewing a storm and making food for my bday all week. I’m having lil freak outs that I’ll be turning 23 in a lil over a year ahaha. Turning 22 will get all my priorites straight, I’m no careless kid anymore.

i’m still sick. I think I’ll be a little bit sick still at my bday =( lamers.

Just thought I’d share my new favorite online shop. GudonyaToo Soaps and Spas. Yummmmy vegan/handmade soap products. I got the Whipped Clean in Creamsicle and Smoochy Skin Bars in Italian Lemon Cream. They are amazzing. The skin bars especially make my skin feel so great. I want to try everything now haha. The natural deodorant sounds really nice.

So I realized the fall/winter fashion week is completely over. I didn’t do it cause I had a whole lot of other things on my plate. I do want to do spring fashion week though. Why not. It’s really fun.

So fashion week I’m going to show some graffiti corsets and my own showcase for my collection. I’ll be doing shows beforehand for those projects too tho.

I need to start designing! My goal in the next couple months is getting myself a body form. Everything will be dreamy to do once I get it.

So for spring I want to make the collection a little bit more mature, but with my style mixed in. And I gotta work on my construction more. There were lots of mistakes in what I did last collection. And I also gotta simplify my designs so I don’t rip out my hair hahah. Also that will make it cheaper so I can sell them off easier.

Brett is accompanying me today. i hope his mask he’s working on for halloween will turn out good. He put a lot into it.

The magazine release party went fine. I chilled with Bev which is always fun. I got to see Annaliza and Trevor and we discussed a little bit about our graffitied corset project. I gotta get working on it! I have to set up a date of completion. It’s hard to work without due dates.

Looks like me and Emily are going to do a little sale at my studio soon. I can’t wait =) Then this will also give me a due date to make some fun accessories too.

mann I hate that my internet is the fastest during the day, cause I’m at my studio during the day and making websites is sooo hard when the net is slow at night.

I really have to get on redoing my business website aswell. And start selling stuff on there…

I applied for Royal Bison Arts and Craft Fair, I hope I get a table for it! I have neat items I plan to make for it. Not much clothing at all actually. Doing the Animethon really got me excited to try out craft fairs. I hope I do well, then I can do the bigger ones like Stop and Shop.

Today I woke up without a voice. My throat is killing me. I went to my studio today which wasn’t the greatest idea because the air there is so dry. On a normal day I get this dry throat thing going, so being sick and getting it was bad.

The Magazine Project, who interviewed me for their new issue called Curbside are having a release party tomorrow. I didn’t know it was tomorrow til the guy from the mag called me ahaha. I have to bring a guest.. so I need to find a date asap. lame! I am making an underbust corset for myself to wear for the event. It’s turning out really nice. This is the first time making myself a corset in a couple years actually haha.

So for Halloween I really want to make a good costume. Last year I didn’t have time so my outfit was laaame. I want to be a girl version of Alex from Clockwork Orange this year. Bowler hat and white corsetted outfit, I can’t wait =) Well hopefully I can pull it off anyways haha.

So a dozen days left until my birthday. I shall blog about the shiet I want haha. I’ll eventually get all these for myself anyways.

Wishlist:
1. A tablet. Man it would make graphic design much easier. And I can actually do proper logos and stuff. My photographer friend just got one and it made me pretty jealous haha.

2. A darn body form. These things are pricey but necessary. It would make pattern drafting so much more accurate and easy.

3. Lolita boots. Winter is coming, need some cute boots! Or two or three! And I gotta fix the zippers to a couple pairs of old boots.

4. A haircut ahaha. I still want to shave the sides of my head. haven’t had time to really do it.

5. Perfume of course. Can’t get enough! I especially want Anna Sui non dolly girl related ones. and ones from vivianne westwood just cause i love her ahaha. I’m still in search of a fall/winter scent. It’s so hard. perfumes either smell amazing or absolutely horrid on me.

6. Rolls and rolls of PVC or the cutest lolita fabric ever :B oh and especially cute unique trims.

7. horn spirals. I’m getting sick of just regular plugs. I’m starting to go without anything in my lobes nowadays. Need to try something neww.

8. More clothes in general. Fall is here and I’m very unprepared.

9. More plastic large jewelery. but I’m making myself a bunch right now anyways, so I guess it should be changed to more plastic jewelery bits and beads!..

There’s definitely more but these are the main things I guess hahaha. I need a rich boyfriend.
