So I explored Calgary’s downtown area yesterday. It’s much nicer and bigger then Edmonton. It’s cool cause it seems that most of the hot spots in Calgary is in that general area. Like their 17th ave, which is like Whyte Ave, is right off the main downtown area. 17th Ave doesn’t have as much character as Whyte it seems, but it has lots of neat restaurants to check out. I went to the China town, which is basically right in the downtown. Had some tasty Lichee Mango bubble tea. The downtown buildings are definitely prettier then Edmonton’s. I can see how people mistake Calgary as the capital city. I love wondering around downtown.. so it was a treat to wonder around Calgary’s =)

Once Bekka got off work we went to a Shisha cafe called Cafe Mediterranean. We had double apple flavored Shisha and a platter of tzatziki dip, falafal, brushetta, and hummus with flat bread. Soo tasty! We took photos so hopefully she can upload them soon.

I’m sad the trip is over but I love being back home. I usually get home sick when I sleep at other peoples places even, but at Bekka’s I felt fine.

I didn’t end up going to the Lit Cosmetics shop, I’m bummed about that. But one highlight was going to their Winners and picking up Dolly Girls Bonjour L’Amour !!! That stuff is even hard to get off Ebay so I’m very happy to get one. Even though I did find one on Ebay :x I’ll have two *gleeee*.

So Bekka works til 4. Unfortunately I don’t think these photoshoots are happening =( The models are having a hard time finding a photographer that’s free to shoot This weekend. Sigh. So today I’m going to attempt to bus to downtown and walk around til Bekka is free.

Last night we finally had a little alone time to just chat. I really miss it. We both had pretty shitty weeks before I came so it was good timing. Usually I get so awkward when I sleep at peoples places and I miss my bed haha. But it hasn’t been like that here at all.

Anyways. Time to venture. Hopefully I don’t get kidnapped by some bum or something hahaha.

So I arrived safely in Calgary yesturday. We had a yummy steak dinner for Bekka’s birthday.. haven’t had steak in a long time! Then we played a couple rounds of sociables haha. Of course sociables always ends up with a great night. We ended up walking through the alley to the park near her place, but we thought it was a good idea to take our bras off and hook them together and swing it around x] Played skip rope and other silly games with the line of bras. When we got to the park there was a huge field so we ran across it to the playground with bras on our heads haha. It was too dark to see so we didn’t notice that there was a group of guys sitting by the playground watching the whole thing! We freaked out bad when they said something, quickly hiding our bras.

So after that we played grounders and whatever else with them. It was a great night. Kinda reminded me of younger times.

So today we are off to downtown I think, to look around. It was really rainy yesturday so I didn’t get to check anything out. It’s much nicer today. Then later on we are going to a pub with Bekka’s boyfriend (who is really amazing, I met him the first time yesturday) and his friends.

This was well needed after a tough week. The night before leaving was specifically stressful so I’m glad to be here.

I’m pretty stoked for my Calgary trip coming up. I am going to visit my best friend Bekka there for her birthday and styling a couple photo shoots. I’m making circus ringmaster and harlequin inspired outfits plus a few standard pretty corsets to play with. That’s what I’m working on right now. I think they’ll turn out great. They are a little more artistic then the stardard stuff I have out now. But still pretty simple and to the point. I don’t think I’ll ever have time to do more elaborate costume type outfits for a long while, if ever. Well it really would be easier once I get my darn body form haha. That’s still something I need to save up for.

On my downtime in Calgary I really want to check out the alternative clothing stores there and the Lit glitter shop. It would be like a candy shop to me hehe. Apparently my friend John might be going there too (he’s in the army situating in Manitoba) so we might chill too. Check out a dim sum joint or something.

Wowwy, my birthday is in exactly a month. I better start planning a nice dinner for it. It was a hit last year so I really want to do it again. Dumplings, spring rolls, and cupcakes for all :3
