On the topic of Anna Sui perfume..

There is going to be a new perfume in addition to Flight of Fancy called Night of Fancy. I read about it and chatted with the lovely counter girl about it (who I will be dressing one day for her burlesque hobby ;]) and I’m pretty excited. It’s purpleeeee! She said she heard it will smell like icecream and marshmellows! I dooo love marshmellowss.
Night of Fancy
“The perfume Night of Fancy opens with fruity aromas of blueberry with accords of grapefruit leaves and wild strawberries. The heart hides secrets of Stephanotis - jasmine from Madagascar with Sambac jasmine absolute, while the base notes encompass accords of milkshake, olibanum and Cashmeran molecules. ”

She also kept mentioning the Dolly girl that came out before Lil’ Starlet and I was very very curious so I went and got it off Ebay haha! Bonjour L’Amour~ The only thing that bothers me about Lil’ Starlet is that the staying power isn’t that good. And I’m guessing it’s going to be the same with this one.
Bonjour L'Amour
“Top notes are cinnamon, italian melon and florida grapefruit; middle notes are magnolia, tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine and lily-of-the-valley; base notes are texas rosewood, amber, coconut, musk, raspberry, orris root, peach and cedar.”

I really hope the Night of Fancy is a little better for fall/winter since most of my fragrances are only suitable for spring/summer. but I doubt it cause of how fruity it sounds haha. I gotta start searching for something.

Perfume is pretty much the only thing I enjoy buying haha. I don’t spend any of my spare cash on anything else but perfume and foood.

Overnightprints.com Review

So after a lot of good review on this printing website called overnightprints.com, I thought I’d give it a try. I am kind of a starving artist and I need to get a good load of printed fliers made so I have them handy for any events I’m doing for my business. After some of my friends have used overnight prints and said good things about them I had to try them. The prices are amazing so why not. I ordered a TON of fliers and a custom stamp. I realize they do overnight prints only if you pay a shit load for the shipping HAHAH. I wasn’t in a rush so I picked the standard shipping. A week passes and I never got any kind of confirmation of my order, just a paypal reciept. I drop them an email to make sure things are going smoothly. I didn’t get a reply at all. After 3 weeks I was getting worried cause most standard shipped UPS orders from the states comes in a week. I send an urgent email and they reply back. Apparently they got lost in the warehouse so they have to print them again. I found that very unprofessional. How do you loose 1000 fliers?! So they promise to get them printed ASAP and expedite it to me. I finally got them, with a lame ass $35 customs fee (IHATEUPS).

Other then that, the fliers quality is amazing, especially with the free clear gloss coating. The printing is extremely smooth and there are no spots at all. Their stamp on the other hand is the shittiest thing. The words aren’t 3-d enough to stamp down nicely. I used to make stamps when I worked at keyman engravables and those are not as “high-tech” compared to overnightprints methods I’m sure, but at least the ones I made worked good. GRRR!!

I’m 50/50 with them right now. I’m sure I just had a rare bad experience. The printing quality is great with extras for just a few dollars or free. Overall I turned out to pay just as much as printing locally haha. Maybe saved a few bucks (this is including their shipping). I’ll use them only if I’m printing things that are low priority I think. And good old Rayacom for things I need in less then a month.

Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder is an amazing movie. I saw it three times in the theatres already hahah! I don’t even go to the movies much. No movie really seems that interesting right now that I haven’t seen and people keep bringing me to the movies lately so that one’s the only choice. I absolutely love Robert Downey Jr. in it, and Jack Black is just hilarious. I’ve been a real fan of Robert Downey Jr. lately. It’s nice to see more movies of him now. I heard he’s in the new Indiana Jones franchise which is cool. But I read that there is going to be lots of ninjas and things in it which is kinda odd ahaha.

Mmmmm

Just came back from eating dim sum, delicious as always~ My favorite is definitely the shrimp/tofu dish with the yummy sauceee. Sadly I didn’t get any today =( But the deep fried shrimp dumplings saved the day. Why is shrimp soooo good!?

I got a new perfume the other day, a Anna Sui Dolly Girl birth called Lil’Starlet. I’m in love! I’m getting very sick of the fruity fragrances that are out, and of course hate the over powering floral ones. This one is so fresh and girly. The bottle is too cute to resist aswell. I’m really starting to love the perfumes Anna Sui has been coming out with. Flight of Fancy is very tasty as well! I absolutely loveee her packaging!
