The outfit I’m making for Lady Gaga is turning out great. The corset is just about done. The rest of the outfit I have an idea of what to do, hopefully it all turns out good. *nervous*

So I got interviewed today for the newswatch website. This is the first time getting a filmed interview done. I am a very random and silly person so it was very hard to keep my cool haha. The interviewer is a sister of a friend, and she was really sweet. I hope the interview will be good. She said she was going to edit it so it’s 45 seconds long so that should be perfect haha. I trust that it won’t show me to be that crazy. Maybe just a little. I don’t want to do filmed interviews anymore, too stressful ahaha.

Oohh exciting. I don’t have to look for a part time job anymore. I did table skirts for this lady a year ago and made sweeet cash from it, and she called me again to make more! This is the best news this month. I can finally buy myself a dress form and materials for my standard corset line wooo. This will help me with my goals for the coming year for sure. Ahhh lovely.

I’ve been getting a nice flow of orders coming in =) I hope it keeps going, I can’t wait til I get a consistent flow so I can make this an actual job hahaha.

The glitter party over the weekend was nice, got to meet some really cool people. And I scored a set of new glitter for myself =9 I got 24 colours now. And I still have a bunch on my wish list.

I just got some applique for some standard corsets I’m making, I can’t wait to work on them. They are going to be soo cute.

So I realized the fall/winter fashion week is completely over. I didn’t do it cause I had a whole lot of other things on my plate. I do want to do spring fashion week though. Why not. It’s really fun.

So fashion week I’m going to show some graffiti corsets and my own showcase for my collection. I’ll be doing shows beforehand for those projects too tho.

I need to start designing! My goal in the next couple months is getting myself a body form. Everything will be dreamy to do once I get it.

So for spring I want to make the collection a little bit more mature, but with my style mixed in. And I gotta work on my construction more. There were lots of mistakes in what I did last collection. And I also gotta simplify my designs so I don’t rip out my hair hahah. Also that will make it cheaper so I can sell them off easier.

I applied for Royal Bison Arts and Craft Fair, I hope I get a table for it! I have neat items I plan to make for it. Not much clothing at all actually. Doing the Animethon really got me excited to try out craft fairs. I hope I do well, then I can do the bigger ones like Stop and Shop.

Today I woke up without a voice. My throat is killing me. I went to my studio today which wasn’t the greatest idea because the air there is so dry. On a normal day I get this dry throat thing going, so being sick and getting it was bad.

The Magazine Project, who interviewed me for their new issue called Curbside are having a release party tomorrow. I didn’t know it was tomorrow til the guy from the mag called me ahaha. I have to bring a guest.. so I need to find a date asap. lame! I am making an underbust corset for myself to wear for the event. It’s turning out really nice. This is the first time making myself a corset in a couple years actually haha.

So for Halloween I really want to make a good costume. Last year I didn’t have time so my outfit was laaame. I want to be a girl version of Alex from Clockwork Orange this year. Bowler hat and white corsetted outfit, I can’t wait =) Well hopefully I can pull it off anyways haha.

Seems I’m very into blue and purple right now. I was never really a blue fan unless it was a baby blue.

I keep thinking about a conversation I had with Bekka during my visit to Calgary. I was telling her how guys in Edmonton don’t fascinate me at all. I go on dates cause it’s fun to chat. But I don’t go to find any new love. She says that she sees me going on a business trip of some sort and just falling in love with someone in a bigger city. Someone that can keep up with my mind and hobbies. My last boyfriend even thought that my designing thing was a joke. Can you believe that. That’s why I want to just do everything alone right now. I love being completely free of judgment.

Another reason why what Bekka said has been with me all day.. meeting someone from another city would mean that I would potentially have to move out of Edmonton. It makes sense. My clothing designs are a little too fancy for Edmonton. I need to be with people that like to be as elaborate as I am. I love Edmonton to pieces don’t get me wrong. Just if I want to design to the best of my ability I would have to go elsewhere to do that.

I think a good goal for me is to build up to travel to a few places for work just to get to know some of the industry I wish to be in. And then build up my website properly to get these kinds of people to know me. Doing everything through the internet for the right target market is key. And still just stay in Edmonton. Home is where the heart is, yes.

They came out nice =) I wish I had proper bodyforms for corsets, they look kinda strange on stiff bodyforms, oh wells.

Finally I’ve been doing proper 10 hour sewing days. I haven’t done that since the Animethon haha. I have to start waking up a bit earlier to get into these long days a bit better though. These corsets are coming out so delicious looking. the ringmaster inspired outfit is super neat, I combined three differant fabrics into it. I cannot wait until the photoshoots.

Play called me back for an interview =) I’m very excited about that. Hopefully I do well and land a job at the gay club haha. Sounds like a fun time.

I also finally got an email back from the girls who are organizing the Bellerosecon. I’m going to be organizing the fashion show and making more lolita dresses. I get to vend there which is awesome, some more extra cash flow haha. I should really make a few winter jackets too. Hrrmmss. This con is very small though so I shouldn’t focus too much energy on it. I still have that kashvenoms collaboration to work on.

Sigh. Every project I do, I tell myself that I’ll take it easy after I’m done, but there’s always more to do. It is definitely not going to end any time soon haha. Oh well this is good. I was thinking how I should always schedule some kind of event or collaboration just to keep myself busy and getting shiet done. But I have to plan them out a little better.

I hope I get the job, cause the cash flow would make things much more comfortable.

I’m pretty stoked for my Calgary trip coming up. I am going to visit my best friend Bekka there for her birthday and styling a couple photo shoots. I’m making circus ringmaster and harlequin inspired outfits plus a few standard pretty corsets to play with. That’s what I’m working on right now. I think they’ll turn out great. They are a little more artistic then the stardard stuff I have out now. But still pretty simple and to the point. I don’t think I’ll ever have time to do more elaborate costume type outfits for a long while, if ever. Well it really would be easier once I get my darn body form haha. That’s still something I need to save up for.

On my downtime in Calgary I really want to check out the alternative clothing stores there and the Lit glitter shop. It would be like a candy shop to me hehe. Apparently my friend John might be going there too (he’s in the army situating in Manitoba) so we might chill too. Check out a dim sum joint or something.

Wowwy, my birthday is in exactly a month. I better start planning a nice dinner for it. It was a hit last year so I really want to do it again. Dumplings, spring rolls, and cupcakes for all :3

I really really want to get into jewelery making. I’ve been addicted to homemade necklaces lately and I feel the bug to make some. I think I’ll just make a handful of styles and have them as products for the website =) I got hold of some cuteeeee little plastic horses made from japan and they are perfect for SC =)

I can’t wait to work with Bev making some cutey resin necklaces and brooches.
